Signed Anonymous

The summer of 2015, Lily, Jade, Sophia, and Kiara had just met. They were new to their neighborhood, and they were all attending Moonlight High School as juniors. That summer they got really close and were together almost everyday. One summer night, they were invited to a going back to school party.

"I don't think it's a great idea for us to go to this party." said Lily.
"If we don't go, we will just be newbies at Moonlight High School. All the juniors and seniors will be there."  said Sophia.
"Yeah, let's just go. Even if it is for a few hours." said Jade and Kiara.
"Fine." said Lily.

The night of the party, all the girls went over to Sophia's house to get ready. While they were getting ready, they heard someone in the tree's.

"What was that?!" said Jade.
"I don't know, but it sounded like someone was in the tree's!" said Kiara.
"Were they watching us?! Oh my gosh! They were. We were in our bras and underwear. Sophia, why aren't you freaking out!?" said Lily.
"Because. It's happened before. Someone has been sending me anonymous messages... They either text me or send them through email." said Sophia.
"What? who?! Why haven't you told us?" said Jade.
"We're not going to the party. We're going to talk about these messages." said Lily and Kiara.

The anonymous messages didn't stop for Sophia, they continued, but this time all of the girl's would receive messages that only they knew about. This person knew all their secrets, and wanted them to be destroyed by it. This person will do anything to see them fall apart.

"This isn't over till I say it's over. Signed Anonymous." said Lily.
To be continued...

This Is Water

In the first 2-3 minutes of the speech, I thought it was a joke. He wasn't making a point, but instead making jokes. After listening to it more, it was an amazing speech, with a great point. Everyone thinks the world revolves around them. Only our feelings matter in certain situations. We think we can't make a choice to live a better life. A much positive life and mindset. When you think in such a negative way, it affects your everyday life. Thinking at least 1 positive situations will impact your future thoughts.

I have many goals in life. Some are graduating college, having my dream job, being successful with my choices, and more. In college, I would like to study Law. I am so intrigued when it comes to Law. I want to become a lawyer because for one I like to argue with others, and when I know I am right, I will prove my point till you know you're wrong. Sounds a little harsh, but it's true. When it comes to college, and knowing I'll be in college within the next few months, it makes me really nervous, but super excited. I am not one to always do things out of my comfort zone, or things I am not familiar with. College is a whole new thing, so you could see why I may be nervous. Doing things out of my comfort zone does excite me, though, because it's a whole new picture. Besides being nervous, I am not that worried about the thought of college. The amount of work we get here at ASU Prep is a lot, and we might even get more in college, but I am more than sure I'll be fine if I manage my time appropriately.

I am so very excited about graduating from ASU Prep. I am ready for something new because being here is not fun. Teachers are great, but students aren't. I know this is everywhere you go, but people at ASU Prep are always in your business. It gets tiring of hearing people talk, but what can you do. Another thing I am excited about is just being done with high school. High school wasn't always fun as people say it is. I am just very excited to leave. I am not scared about leaving ASU Prep.

I am not ready to take care of myself in 'real life.' I still have yet to learn how to pay bills, making my own doctors appointment, and more. Real life is a bit scary because it's adult life. You do everything on your own now. No help from mommy anymore, it's all on you. Real life is scary, and I know I am not ready for it. Maybe in a few years.

High School Career

"It was as simple as spaghetti. High school will be easy and fun. It will go by so fast." My sister Sabrina said. I was entering freshman year with people I did not know, and all I could feel was butterflies in my stomach. I walk in the school building, and the first interaction I have is with a junior he tells me "You're a freshman, huh? I could tell. Well welcome to ASU Prep, home of the snakes.." He laughs and walks away. I giggled and walked to my capstone to get my schedule.

The first 2 periods went good, but by the 3rd period, I got yelled at by my science teacher. I knew after this I would have a tough year with this teacher. I didn't know what time 3rd period started, so I was late by 10-15 minutes. I walk into class, and everyone looks at me. All I feel is my face heat up.

"What's your name, Ms?" Ms. Andrew's says.
 "Crystal. Crystal Hernandez." I said.
"Class started like 15 minutes ago. Why are you late?" She says.
"I lost track of time." I said.
"Well next time, don't be late. Or we'll have serious consequences." She said.

After that situation, my day went fine. The rest of freshman year went great. Sophomore year was very different. I met more people, and came out my shell a lot more. Sophomore year I struggled with school and friendships. I met my boyfriend this year. He was a senior. Sophomore year was great besides all the struggles I had. Junior year was very great. Academically, I did amazing, I even surprised myself. My goal was to get all A's, which I accomplished. I wanted to make up for what I slacked sophomore year.

Senior year. It's here, and almost over. I would say senior year was my most stressful year. Everyone says that senior year will be so easy because you're basically done with school. I must say that it was not easy. For one, trying to figure college out was hard. Secondly, the amount of work I had and still have to do, was terrifying. I don't know how I managed to get it all done, have great grades, have a social life, and get at least 5 hours of sleep. I barely have a social life, but it's okay because it is going to pay off. Not only was senior year stressful academically, but personal life was a bit stressful, too. I realized that the friends I though would be there forever, aren't always going be there. You meet new people, and somehow you become distant. Which I am fine with, I believe that things happen for a reason. As I begin to approach graduation, the end of my high school career, I am a little emotional, but I am most excited to start a new chapter. I'm scared to start this new chapter in my life, but I know that I'll be okay.

Heart To Heart: Dealing with Drama

Drama! Drama! Drama! High school is suppose to be fun and enjoyable, but it is all drama. Even when you try so hard to keep yourself out of it, you some how get involved. It is even worse when you go to a small school, and it's easy for everyone to find things out. Word gets around fast at small schools. How do you deal with the drama? I am going to share a story that a close friend of mine was going through recently.
My friend, who we will call Emily, has gone through many drama situations. To begin with, there was a few girls who wanted to fight Emily for many reasons. Reasons such as talking bad about the other girls, doing things to irritate them, and other irrelevant things. To make a long story short, the 2 other girls started to harass Emily. They would text Emily cruel things, but the funny thing is, they never did anything when it came face-to-face.
Emily was very strong about everything. She ignored the girls and continued to go on about her day. You will deal with drama wherever you go, but what matters is how you handle it. I takes everything in me to do the right thing. I have a really bad temper, so when I hear that someone is talking bad about me, it takes everything in me to just let it go. I let it go, until I feel they have gone too far. Ignoring people is very hard because they think they have the last laugh, but really they are just immature. Be the bigger person, forget about it.
High school only lasts 4 years. Do you really want to waste your time trying to argue and fight with others? All you can do is make the best of every bad situation. I am a very strong believer in things happen for a reason. What Emily went through happened turned out good for her because she realized how strong she became in the end. You can't control what people do what their life, but you can control what you do with yours. Move on from the drama.

Heart To Heart: Coming out of your Shell

Since I was a little girl, I have been shy and quiet. Some people take my shyness as being stuck up and rude, but I am so far from that. When I was a little girl, I would go with my dad everywhere. We were inseparable. He would always take me to meet his friends or family members that I haven't met before. I would get so shy, and hide behind him. I would just get really nervous talking to others. As I grew older, I knew I had to somehow come out of my shell and be able to communicate with others. I have learned to overcome my fear of talking to others. I am still shy but just a bit. I'd say I am now more outgoing then before.

I believe it all starts with coming out of you comfortable environment. If you are home often, go out with friends. Try to even go out with others that you aren't best friends with. I know it easier said than done, but do it. If you can't go out with them, bring them to you. The way you can do that is by hosting a small get together. A christmas party, study group, etc., would be perfect. I know what you're thinking "well what if people don't come?" You won't know unless you try.
When talking to people, share about your interests, dislikes, etc. You don't have to go in depth with talking about problems, but just share the basics. Sharing how you were as a child would give that person(s) an idea of who you are. Lastly, just be yourself, don't try to be someone you're not. If they don't like you for you, then thats their problem. You are perfect the way you are.
I know how hard it is coming out of your shell, but I promise life will be much more fun if you just be free. I just let myself be me, and found people who like me for me. It takes time coming out of your shell, but you won't regret it once you do. I hope you enjoy my advice, and hope it helps! Don't let your shyness ruin opportunities.

Cosmo: Eyeliner Tips & Tricks

I don't know if it is just me, but I find eyeliner the trickiest part of doing my makeup. One eye is slaying and the other eye is needing help. Having dried out eyeliner, the right tools, and more will affect the outcome of your eyeliner. Eyeliner takes some time to master, just keep practicing. I share some tips I have learned from my mom, and others about eyeliner. I hope you enjoy my tips!

Eyeliner Tips:

1. If you have ran out of eyeliner, take a small angled brush and dip it in to your mascara. Apply your eyeliner as you would!

2. I always loved using gel liner, but it was so aggravating when the gel liner would dry out. I trick I learned was to add eyedrops to revive your gel liner!

3. Sometimes when my pencil eyeliner isn't as black as I like it, I take a lighter and put the eyeliner in it to melt it a bit. I let it cool for 10 seconds then apply!

4. If you are looking to create the perfect winged liner, use tape. That is what I used for a very long time to get the hang of doing winged eyeliner. It takes time, but the results are magnificent.
5. If you are a beginner at eyeliner, especially winged eyeliner, I would recommend using a liquid eyeliner pencil. That's what worked best for me. I used gel when I first started, but when I would make a mistake and go to clean it, it was a difficult process. With liquid eyeliner, it was easy to clean up.

I hope you enjoyed my eyeliner tips! It has worked for me overtime, and I hope it works for you!

Crystal In The Kitchen: How To Make Rice Krispie Treats

I loved rice krispies, but sometimes they are way too sweet for me. I like to have them on occasion. They are great for holiday parties, birthday parties, and all year round! When I make my rice krispies I like to add chocolate chips to the mixtures, m&ms, or little sweets like that, but for now, we will leave them plain! This recipe is one of the most easiest desserts I have made in such little amount of time. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 package (10 oz.) of Marshmallows
  • 6 cups of Kellogg's Rice Krispies Cereal

Directions:
  1. In a big pan, melt the butter over low-medium heat.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add in the marshmallows.
  3. Stir the mixture until both are melted completely. Remove from heat.
  4. Add in the cereal and stir till well combined.
  5. Evenly press the mixture into a 13 x 9 pan, or what you have. Make sure the pan has been buttered so that the mixture won't stick.
  6. Let it chill in the fridgerator for 3-5 hours.
  7. ENJOY YOUR DESSERT!

I hope you enjoyed making this easy dessert! Stay tuned for more!
